T-G-I-Friday!! Dillon booked a great tour for us today! After breakfast at our hotel, we grabbed a Lyft to 20 Broad St. (a.k.a. the NY Stock Exchange)!!! We met up with our tour guide, Lindsey and were split into groups. Lindsey, was great! She first took us up and down Wall St. and went into Federal Hall. Next, we went to the 9/11 Memorial, which has a lot of symbolism. Here is what Lindsey told us…

  • Each name that is engraved on the walls are all placed next to someone that person may have known

  • The bottom of the hole in the middle of the fountain cannot be seen to symbolize the hole in our hearts

  • There is an individual stream of water for each person to represent the tears we shed for them

  • Everyday there is someone that puts white roses in the names of those who have birthdays on that day

  • The ‘Survivor Tree’ has had its roots grown three times and has survived 9/11 and hurricane

After the 9/11 memorial, we parted ways with Lindsey and took a boat out to Liberty Island to see THE STATUE OF LIBERTY! We got our audio devices, walked around the whole Island then walked up 200 something steps to Lady Liberty’s pedestal. After snapping some pictures, we took the boat back to Manhattan and ate some lunch at China Chalet on Broadway, which was AMAZING!!!

Next up was the Mets Game!!! We hopped on the subway and adventured out to Citi Field! We were in section 121 Row 10 which had access to the Delta 360 Club! We grabbed a couple of beers there and then headed to our seats and ordered food with our IN-SEAT FOOD SERVICE! The game was great and loads of fun! Any day that the Rays loose is a good day especially when Jose Bautista gets a walk off grand slam!!! GOOOOOOOOD NIIIIIGGHHT NEW YORK!
